Hello fellow visitors.

I have suffered from a rather serious computer crash on sunday. The issue seems to be a mainboard/motherboard breakdown, and as I'm kind of dependant on this component to have my computer working, I probably won't be doing much modelling for the coming weeks. Hopefully, when I get the computer working again, the stored harddrive information should be available to me again, and I should be able to get back to work.

Luckily, it has only been 10 months since I bought the motherboard, and thus I should be able to get some reimbursement on the warranty. This, however, means I have to send computer components off for my retailer to analyse, which may well take months.

I'll be around though, I just wont be very active. For now, let's all hope this crisis passes within only a few days.

As long as you havn't lost anything - please try to backup your work if possible - it would be a disaster to lose it

Shame to hear about your probelms and I hope you can get them fixed soon.

Yeah, good luck with that. Never had a motherboard fail on me... damn! that's gonna go now, sod's law and all that...

Good news!

I've been sent a replacement motherboard from another manufacturer, but this one is just as good.

Hopefully I'll receive the parts within a couple of days and can begin putting them together in just a few weeks (I'm a bit busy! ).

So, most things are up and running again, will have to see about stability still, but everything seems to be OK!

Um yeah, unfortunately I had to reformat the harddrives so now the only backup i have is from april or something this year. Will take me some time to get all my projects going again, as I have to actually put them in Racer yet again..

shame you didnt back it all up, like I said sometime, but that was after it was broken really

Anyway, I still hope you can have the time and motivation to contine with these projects
